We tried Buettner's cookbook... for a while. His philosophy seems solid but his cooking wasn't to our taste. It seems to reflect peasant-fare, and no wonder they all look underweight! For this sort of diet, we've gotten much more use out of "The Anti-Inflammatory Kitchen" by Alice Auster. Nonetheless, we are grateful to Buettner for his leadership in making the latest research readable by most people.

Thank you for another great interview!

If Buettner can use reverse engineering to do serious research that leads to advising on behavioral changes, can this be done for something like Long Covid? YouTube is filled with podcasts with people (potential case studies) who have "fully" recovered. My wife, a professional violinist, is beginning her 4th year with LC. I asked the same question of the Patient-Led Research Collaborative (PLRC). They said, "Good idea, we'd like to do that, but not sure if we have funding.

Do you think that could make for worthy research?

Of course, you'd need to screen for a ton of variables and find homogeneous populations.

Thank you, Howard Nelson, PT
