As with any innovation, it will be crucial to have separate validation in the pediatric population. Kids are not little adults! But I'm sure it's only a matter of (probably very little) time before a pediatrics-freindly agent comes online.

When these agents are unleashed into the real world of clinical medicine, it must be very clear whether they ahve been validated for use in children and adolescents, and the validation data will need to be transparent and peer-reviewed (not proprietary).

Maybe there's another wrinkle here. Is the day fast approaching where doctors initially follow the traditional path, but then run their conclusions through an AI model, to see if they're on track or perhaps they didn't think of something. (Or didn't know about a reent development/study?) AI gives a quick second opinion. Perhaps one day the hospitals will even require such an instant review. Not to mention the insurance companies and lawyers! Thanks, Eric. Always on the leading edge!
