Great interview. It would be great to hear more about Nattokinase especially since this antibody is in phase 1 and we have sick patients. Does Nattokinase have any downside? https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9458005/
Good question but we don’t have any good (randomized) trials of Nattokinase to draw from and there are potential adverse effects including severe bleeding
All the research sounds so great…. When does it actually help patients?
My Lyme disease has been with me 39 years. No research. My long Covid for about 2 years now…. Inflammation of brain, body, yes. Anybody in the field of actually being at the patience’ side?
Sorry to sound irritable. But actually that is exactly what having inflammation does to one’s’ body and mind. When will these miracle research programs bring help to the war front?
It's very interesting that the inflammatory component is basically CR3. I have a rare mutation in Complement component 3 that I believe is the reason I have long COVID and why my cousin died from COVID and its secondary infections. I'm happy to provide blood for research purposes if anyone is legitimately interested. This mutation, rs147859257, is in about 0.5% of the U.S. population. I make low immunoglobulins, have high inflammation (had severe post-concussion syndrome prior to COVID), and don't kill certain types of pathogens well. We've done some family gene sequencing, and it's definitively linked to age-related macular degeneration, dementia, and difficulty in overcoming infections. I believe we have defective opsonization because iC3b can't be produced, as well as out-of-control inflammation because the complement cascade can't be turned off. My immunologist and I confirmed that my C3 functional activity is higher than normal.

That is usually my thought today.

Not fast enough I couldn’t agree more. At least this one has a drug ready to start a Phase 2 trial
Hygromycin-A has been seen to cure Lyme, but FDA can’t quite get it approved. Even tho’ it came out in 1950’s. Portugal has it!!!
