Thank you for your fine studies.

Having had Chronic Lyme since 1985 and now Long Covid I am truly terrified of what is happening to my brain. A depression and much crying . Not myself anymore. And intense nerve pain all over my body. As I am a strong, active person with a sense of humor many love, I have felt far away from self. Thank you for constant study!

Sincerely,

Wow! Dr. Monke is a powerhouse, but you are an amazing interviewer and host. Your questions were like precisely aimed arrows that set loose the brilliance of her work and mind. I’m so appreciative of this. Question: Are there any sound frequo involved in the research? Thanks so much for letting this information be shared.

An incredibly interesting interview for me personally- and many thanks to you and the brilliant Dr Monje for your collaboration in providing us this information.

I'm into my fourth year of long Covid now and most of the stubbornly persistent symptoms have faded. Perhaps the most interesting of those still going strong are visual processing disturbances that I never experienced ante-2020., But came all at once after infection. They comprise a suite of visual processing alterations, some quite baroque, most are geometric in the visual alterations. Etiology is uncertain, but correlation may imply causation in this case. I encourage researchers look at the incidence of these in the general population of LC sufferers. Brain fog seems to be the center of attention, but study of these odd ducks might provide further insights.

Agree. Brain fog's the center of attention but these other symptoms deserve full characterization and a path towards finding how to reverse/resolve them

Thank you Michael,

Yes so much to be studied. And hard to wait for improvement. But, as you know, living the nightmare makes one anxious and stressed.

Hi Eric - boy do I hope someone figures out what to do about that executive function problem, because it has WHACKED me since my September COVID. I had to cancel a speaking gig a month later because I couldn't figure out how to put together the slides - it was a completely new topic but straight up the middle of my territory! I felt truly paralyzed in the brain.

It's been slowly improving but not nearly enough. What should I eat, or something, as a best guess at helping myself amid the current uncertainty??

Sorry you’re suffering and I hope you soon get access to proper executive functioning again. It feels terrible to be unable to have access to your full self. 🌸

I was sent a gift from corresponding audience who sent me to a clinic . I received Stem cell IV and all long Covid brain issues are gone. Am going back in July and continue to have treatment for chronic Lyme. Many there who now have no Lyme! This I could not make up. I will be forever grateful to a stranger who reached across the country via inter-net and touched my life for the long run.

Sincerely
